BIG FIVE AI - EMOTION ANALYSIS

How would you like a CRYSTAL BALL that analyzes the EMOTION of every email you send and receive? Imagine a tool that helps you fine-tune all your communications to trigger the right emotions in your reader, and elicit the perceptions you intend?  Just imagine the possibilities. 

The EMOTION ANALYSIS TOOL will help you identify if your COMMUNICATIONS are giving a negative vibe and effectively turning off sales.  Would you like to express firm confidence when communicating with prospects or clients?  This is what the EMOTION ANALYSIS TOOL was designed to do. 

Our EMOTION ANALYSIS TOOL determines the EMOTION of each sentence in texts.

For processing large amounts of texts from files there is a BULK PROCESSING option.

EMOTION ANALYSIS TOOL

Enter incoming or outgoing communications into the Input box and select the EMOTION button.

Sentences are sent to an Artificial Intelligence Model to determine there EMOTION.  

Above each sentence is an EMOTION which could be ANGER, HATE, SADNESS, WORRY, EMPTY, FUN, HAPPINESS, LOVE, RELIEF, NEUTRAL, BOREDOM or SURPRISE. 

To the right of that is a numerical Engagement Indicator.  It's a simple count of the tokens (words) in a sentence that gives you an indication of the importance this sentence has in the communication. 

At the top of the results in red is the OVERALL EMOTION.  When you scroll through results, the last line item is a RESPONSE STRATEGY.  And above that is the person's BIG FIVE PERSONALITY.

The RESPONSE STRATEGY is based on the OVERALL EMOTION and the person's BIG FIVE PERSONALITY as determined by passing sentences to our BIG FIVE PERSONALITY AI.  As shown in the example above this person has an Engineering or Conscientiousness BIG FIVE PERSONALITY. The RESPONSE STRATEGY provides a bit of guidance on what to do when responding to the person. 

Optionally select the DOWNLOAD button and save the results to your local computer for offline analysis.

Example of results:

SENTENCE_NUMBER:  Is the order of sentences.

BIG_FIVE_PERSONALITY:  Is an indication of the person's BIG FIVE PERSONALITY.

OVERALL EMOTION: is the OVERALL EMOTION from all EMOTION's in the results.

EMOTION: Sentence by sentence EMOTION as determined by the BIG FIVE AI EMOTION model.

ENGAGEMENT: Is the number of tokens in a sentence.

SENTENCE: Texts from the Input box.

STRATEGY: The strategy appears on each row in the results. There is one RESPONSE STRATEGY per result.

With the EMOTION ANALYSIS TOOL you can:

  • Discover how people are likely to perceive what you write and if your messages are prominently positive.
  • Inspire you and your team to inspire to create positive messaging.
  • Obtain presonality insights into your prospects with a call to action.

POSITIVE EMOTIONS:  FUN, HAPPINESS, LOVE, RELIEF, NEUTRAL and in most cases SURPRISE.  Your communications should strive have one of these as the OVERALL EMOTION.

NEGATIVE EMOTIONS:  ANGER, HATE, SADNESS, WORRY, EMPTY, BOREDOM and in some cases SURPRISE.

Are your emails giving off a negative vibe?  Would you like to express firm confidence when communicating with prospects or clients?  This is what the EMOTION ANALYSIS TOOL was designed to do. 

 

BULK EMOTION ANALYSIS PROCESSING 

From within the paid or trial version of the tool select the BULK TOOL button.

Prepare your data.  The BULK TOOL requires data in a .TAB format (a text format separated by tabs). 

At a minimum you need one column of data that contains sentences and optionally you might have the following:  

  • Unique Row Identifer
  • Conversation Identifier
  • Person Speaking in the Conversation

Example of data in a file:

Notice in the sample data, it includes a unique row identifer (row_id), conversation identifier (conversation_id) and a column that identiies the person in the conversation (speaker_id).

UPLOAD FILE:

Select the Upload button in the BULK TOOL.

When you select the Upload button, the tool displays the number of rows available to process based on previous use.  It appears in the lower right hand corner of the page and then disappears after a few seconds.

The drag and drop File Upload panel appears in the BULK TOOL.

Simply drop your .TAB separated file with one or more columns inside the dotted box or select the box and select the file from your computer.  The system will validate the file type and upload it.  

The tool displays the first few rows of data and your field names.

MAP FIELDS:

Map your fields to the ones available in the tool.

If you do not have a unique row identifer select Not Available from the pick list.

If your data has a unique row identifier, select it from the pick list.

In our example we have mappped the fields in the file to each in the tool.

Important: Ensure that there are no empty cells or rows in your file.   The tool will attempt to process files with missing data.

Select the EMOTION button.  The tool processes the file in the background.

The BULK TOOL switches to the File view.

Depending on the size of your file you might see the Refresh button in the File view.  Select this button periodically for a processing status update.  When you select the Refresh or File button and processing is complete the Download button appears.

DOWNLOAD:

Select the Download button and when prompted, save the .TAB formatted file to your local computer for offline analysis.

OVERALL EMOTION and BIG FIVE PERSONALITY appers in the results in the following *scenarios:

1.  The BULK TOOL will generate an OVERALL EMOTION and BIG FIVE PERSONALITY for each person in a conversation if your data has a Unique Conversation Identifier and Speaker Identifier.  In our example data there are two persons in the conversation (Agent and Customer).  The tool groups the data by the Unique Conversation Identifier and then processes the sentences separately for each Speaker.  In our example, the results would include an OVERALL EMOTION and BIG FIVE PERSONALITY for the Agent (Julie) and OVERALL EMOTION and BIG FIVE PERSONALITY for the Customer.

2.  The BULK TOOL will generate an OVERALL EMOTION and BIG FIVE PERSONALITY for the conversation if your data only has a Unique Conversation Identifier and the speaker_id is mapped as Not Available.  The tool groups the data by the Unique Conversation Identifier and then processes those sentences and generates an OVERALL EMOTION and BIG FIVE PERSONALITY based on each Conversation.

2.  The BULK TOOL will generate an OVERALL EMOTION and BIG FIVE PERSONALITY for the conversation if your data only has a Unique Speaker Identifier and the conversation_id is mapped as Not Available.  The tool groups the data by the Unique Speaker Identifier and then processes those sentences and generates an OVERALL EMOTION and BIG FIVE PERSONALITY for each Speaker.

FIELDS IN THE DOWNLOAD:

The following fields (column names) appear in the file:

your_row_id - The field you selected in the row_id pick list option.  

Example:

your_conversation_id - The field you selected in the conversation_id pick list option.

your_speaker_id - The field you selected in the speaker_id pick list option.

sentence_id - Is generated by the BULK TOOL to help you isolate extra sentences detected by our Sentence Model.  If the Sentence Model determines that a row of text contains more than one sentence it will generate a sentence_id for each and pass each to our Emotion Model.

emotion - Is generated by the BULK TOOL and houses the EMOTION of the sentence. FUN, HAPPINESS, LOVE, RELIEF, NEUTRAL, SURPRISE, ANGER, HATE, SADNESS, WORRY, EMPTY, and BOREDOM.

engagement - Is generated by the BULK TOOL and includes the numerical count of tokens in the sentence.

overall_emotion - Is generated by the BULK TOOL and houses the EMOTION of the Conversation or Speaker as outlined in the *scenarios listed above.

big_five_score - Is generated by the BIG FIVE AI PERSONALITY model and is a confidence level of the person's BIG FIVE PERSONALITY.  If the user appears in multiple conversations the highest big_five_score is a strong indication of that persons BIG FIVE PERSONALITY. 

big_five_personality - Is generated by the BULK TOOL and is an indication of the person's BIG FIVE PERSONALITY as outlined in the *scenarios listed above.  If the user appears in multiple conversations the highest big_five_score is a strong indication of that persons BIG FIVE PERSONALITY. 

sentence_no - Is generated by the BULK TOOL and is the order in which sentences were processed.  If your data has a conversation identifier the sentence numbering is reset for each conversation.

sentence - The field you selected in the sentence pick list option.

Tip:  If you have a paid version of the tool the length of a sentence column/row can be up to 1000 characters.  If the sentence cell had 2,000 characters the tool selects the first 1,000.  The text is passed to an Artificial Intelligence model to determine if there is more than once sentence and if true, the tool will determine the EMOTION of each and include those in the results.  In this scenario your row_id, conversation_id and speaker_id are duplicated in the results.  Note that the BULK TOOL generates its own set of keys, one of which is a unique row identifier which appear in the results.

Note:  If you have a paid version of the tool, the SENTENCE LIMIT per month is reset on the first day of the following month.
